Bullet Time is a 60 CP child of Way of Earth. It applies a passive defensive aura equal to the 0.5 x characters greatest attack, to a max of 8 damage, typed according to weapon (Fire for Flaming Sword, Piercing for SMG, Slashing for Chainsaw, Piercing for Longbow).
Bullet Time is not a status effect. It is not limited by, nor has any effect on, ammo or charges associated with the weapons used by the defender. _________________ Cheers,
I like it. Basing it off the weapons the ES has is a good idea. Have you ever seen those martial arts movies where an enemy attack only to have the attack lead to them getting a slice taken out of them.
That is what this is. _________________ Carilgar (7989) | Seldara (7990) | Nightfire (7991) | Stormshadow (8049) | A Pair of Doorknocking Mormons (8050) | Chianni (8051) | Koldar (11873) | Themys (12088) | Selaedria (12395)
There's no way to beat around the bush, it's a bad idea.
10% defence from Dodge & Evasion
5% defence from Super Reflexes
15% defence from Way of Water
10% defence from Master of Reflex
~10% defence from enchanted armour
3/6% defence from Knot of Keepers (let's assume 3%)
So that's ~53% defence which is really easy to get and maintain for an ES that wanted to go raid (and you could add the 20% phasing from Master of the Flow if desired, but it'd really be overkill). Soaking any pet in the game to their damage floors is not a big problem, even Nether Hounds only require you adding a Death Affinity to your potion diet.
The most-used pets in the game are at 60% accuracy (Wights) and 65% (Nether Hounds and Judgemasters). This much defence trivialises both of them, for example a 50 Nether Hound wall would only average 6 damage per pet tick onto the ES, and 50 Wights 7.
All of this is fine right now because taking very little from pets isn't that relevant when their only way to deal with summoners offensively is to kill them, and also comprises ES's offline defence ability (by the way, if they had a strong passive aura, dealing with that would also be pretty eye-watering). If they had not just a decent aura but a Seraph-equivalent aura, they'd go from 'not a tank' to 'best tank' easily.
